Our client, a national title insurance company, provides escrow services for residential and commercial resale, new construction, refinance, relocation, and timeshare transactions. The Disbursement Specialist is responsible for supporting real estate transactions by performing a variety of administrative and operational duties that assist the escrow process within a production center, branch office, or title team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist branch operations with the disbursement of escrow transactions to ensure files are fully funded and disbursed according to instructions
- Review and prepare closing files for disbursement once transactions are finalized
- Verify file balances for accuracy and disburse funds as directed, primarily through issuing checks
- Collaborate with lenders, buyers, and escrow officers to reconcile and disburse closed files
- Follow established procedures and operational guidelines
- Understand how assigned responsibilities contribute to the team and related departments
- Support team performance through accurate and timely work
- Identify and resolve routine issues using established processes and solutions
- Communicate moderately complex information within the team and in routine business situations
- Work under general supervision while managing individual workload effectively
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of related work experience
- Experience in bookkeeping and accounting required
