Escrow Officer

Overview
The Escrow Officer is responsible for managing real estate transactions from open to close, ensuring all escrow instructions are followed accurately and in compliance with state regulations, lender requirements, and company policies. This role serves as the primary point of contact for buyers, sellers, real estate agents, lenders, and other parties involved in the transaction.

Key Responsibilities
• Open and manage escrow files for residential and or commercial real estate transactions
• Review purchase agreements, escrow instructions, title commitments, lender conditions, and closing documents
• Coordinate with buyers, sellers, real estate agents, lenders, title officers, and attorneys to ensure smooth and timely closings
• Prepare and review settlement statements and closing disclosures for accuracy and compliance
• Ensure all documents are properly executed, notarized, and recorded
• Balance escrow files and verify receipt and disbursement of funds
• Resolve title, payoff, and documentation issues prior to closing
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and company escrow regulations
• Conduct closings and explain documents to clients when required
• Maintain accurate records and provide status updates throughout the transaction

Qualifications
• Previous experience as an Escrow Officer, Escrow Closer, or Settlement Officer
• Strong knowledge of escrow processes, title requirements, and real estate transactions
• Familiarity with state escrow laws and real estate regulations
• Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously while meeting deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Proficiency with escrow and title software systems
