We're looking for an experienced Litigation Attorney to join one of the largest suburban law firms in the Chicago area. This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside over 60 attorneys and 50 support staff, giving you the chance to provide innovative and strategic legal counsel.

The firm handles a wide range of legal services across various areas, including banking, business law, employment law, general litigation, mergers and acquisitions, real estate, trusts and estates, elder law, special needs planning, and guardianships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with partners on complex commercial litigation cases.
  • Meet with clients, draft legal documents, take and defend depositions.
  • Handle discovery, research, write motions, and make court appearances.
  • Argue motions, participate in trials, interview witnesses, draft agreements, negotiate settlements, and attend mediations.
  • Assist with trials and arbitrations.

What We're Looking For:

  • 1-3 years of experience as a licensed attorney.
  • Strong communication and writing skills.
  • A solid work ethic and dependability.
  • Excellent client service skills with quick response times.
  • Detail-oriented with strong drafting and negotiation abilities.
  • Able to explain complex legal topics to non-lawyers.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Able to manage workload independently and meet deadlines.
  • Must be licensed to practice in Illinois (state and federal courts).
