Job Summary:

We are hiring a Title Officer/Title Examiner to analyze and verify property titles to ensure clear ownership. This role involves conducting thorough title searches, resolving defects, and issuing title commitments and policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Examine property records, deeds, mortgages, tax assessments, and legal documents to determine ownership and any title defects.
  • Conduct title searches using public records, title plants, and online databases.
  • Identify and resolve issues such as encumbrances, liens, or ownership disputes.
  • Prepare and issue title commitments, preliminary title reports, and final policies.
  • Work closely with underwriters, attorneys, and clients to resolve complex title issues.
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and industry regulations.

Qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience in title examination or underwriting.
  • In-depth knowledge of real estate law, title insurance, and closing procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Experience with title software (e.g., SoftPro, RamQuest, ResWare).
  • Ability to interpret and analyze legal descriptions and property surveys.
