Overview
We are seeking a Trainer for Commercial Cooking Equipment to provide hands-on training to national supermarket and wholesale club chains. This role requires someone physically capable of handling equipment, performing labor-intensive tasks, and comfortable with frequent travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site, hands-on training for customers on commercial cooking equipment.
- Assist with food preparation procedures during training.
- Travel frequently (15-20 days per month), including weekends, with all flights, hotels, and car rentals booked by the company.
- Use a personal credit card for all meals, snacks, and drinks (company covers all other travel expenses, and employees keep all travel rewards points).
- Complete all required trip reports and expense reports after travel.
- Attend 3 weeks of training in Montreal before starting the role.
Qualifications
- Comfortable with physical labor (lifting, bending, standing for long periods).
- Must live near a major California airport for ease of travel.
- Valid passport and driver's license required—must be able to travel internationally without restrictions.
- Must be able to work autonomously and stay organized with minimal supervision.
- Prior experience in food service or training is a plus.
Working Conditions
- Frequent overnight travel (15-20 days per month), including weekends.
- When not traveling, the trainer is off-duty as long as all reports and paperwork are completed.
- Some physical labor required while training customers.
