Job Description:
We are a dynamic and growing private lending company specializing in home construction financing. We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Loan Processor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in private lending, particularly in processing loans for home construction, and a strong understanding of the end-to-end loan process.
Job Responsibilities:
- Application Processing: Review and process loan applications for home construction projects, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and accurate.
- Documentation Management: Collect, review, and verify all required loan documents, including income verification, credit reports, appraisals, construction plans, and project budgets.
- Communication: Communicate with borrowers, real estate agents, contractors, and other stakeholders to gather additional information and provide updates on loan status.
- Coordination: Coordinate with underwriters, title companies, and other third parties to facilitate the smooth processing of loans.
- Compliance: Ensure all loan files comply with company policies and relevant federal, state, and local regulations.
- File Management: Maintain organized and accurate loan files, both physical and digital, for easy access and review.
- Status Updates: Provide regular updates to loan officers, borrowers, and other involved parties regarding the status of loan applications.
- Problem Resolution: Identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies in loan documentation or the application process.
- Closing Preparation: Prepare loan files for closing, ensuring all conditions are met and all necessary documents are included.
- Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service by promptly responding to inquiries and addressing any concerns from borrowers and other stakeholders.
Job Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in loan processing, with a focus on private lending and home construction financing.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field preferred.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of private lending practices, loan processing, and real estate transactions.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in handling loan documentation and data entry.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with the ability to manage multiple loan files simultaneously.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with borrowers and other stakeholders.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in loan origination systems, loan processing software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
- Team Player: Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, providing support as needed.
