Collections agent

Locate, notify and request payment of delinquent accounts via email, mail and/or telephone. Position also includes receiving payments, preparing legal statements, initiating recovery or service disconnection procedures, and sending letters according to delinquency stages.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Locate delinquent members through various means.
• Notify delinquent members of their debts via email, mail and/or telephone.
• Request payment of debts in a courteous and professional manner.
• Receive payments from delinquent customers.
• Prepare legal statements to initiate collection proceedings.
• Initiate debt recovery or service disconnection procedures.
• Send letters to delinquent members according to stages of delinquency.
• Carry out procedures related to repossessed cars belonging to the company.
• Coordinate with the different departments for the recovery of the cars.
• Ensure the condition and maintenance of repossessed cars.
• Manage and monitor cases in loss, bankruptcy and legal proceedings.
• Coordinate with the corresponding lawyers and/or entities.
• Provide information and follow-up to the different departments on the status of cases.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in collections.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to negotiate and problem solve.
• Customer oriented and results oriented.
• Bilingual (Preferred).
