Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Dental Hygienist to join our thriving dental practice. The ideal candidate is passionate about oral health, patient education, and providing exceptional dental care. As a Dental Hygienist, you will work closely with our team of dental professionals to deliver preventive and therapeutic dental services.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including oral examinations and medical history reviews.
- Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing to remove plaque, tartar, and stains from teeth.
- Take and develop dental X-rays, analyze images, and assist in diagnosing dental issues.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and diet.
- Administer fluoride treatments to strengthen teeth and prevent cavities.
- Assess and treat gum diseases, such as gingivitis and periodontitis, through root planing and scaling procedures.
- Collaborate with dentists and other dental professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including treatment plans and progress notes.
- Adhere to strict infection control protocols, ensuring a safe and sanitary dental environment.
- Stay informed about the latest developments in dental hygiene through continuous education.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program.
- State licensure and CPR certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to patient care.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
